Membership requirements

Membership in CAMCE is open to any interested individual regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex or handicap.

Applicants must be in sufficient physical condition to be able to perform the tasks required for Mine and Cave exploring. This includes but is not limited to exposure to dark and confined environments, hiking and climbing. Certification from a licensed physician may be requested to verified that the individuals physical condition.

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age

Applicants 15 to 18 years of age must have parent or legal guardian present and must provide written parental consent.

Applicants must complete an individual profile giving personal, medical and next of kin details, which will be registered by the club. This information is kept confidential.

A Pre-CAMCE Member (PCM) must attend three (3) scheduled field trips with CAMCE members and at least two board members in attendance.

The PCM must pass a basic safety and climbing test.

Anyone under the age of fifteen (15) is forbidden from attending CAMCE field trips with the exception of CAMCE family days.



Membership shall be granted by a majority vote of the CAMCE Executive Board.

CAMCE dues of $25 per quarter are required of all members.

All members must complete an application and sign a release of liability form.
